April May Kirk (Edwards) was born on April 4, 1961. She married the love of her life Gregory Kirk in August 1979 and they were blessed with 3 children. She received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University in 1997 and taught for Tulsa Public Schools for several years until she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. Despite doctors giving her slim odds she beat cancer. Ever since then she had a host of medical problems which she courageously fought, always with a smile and never complaining. She was an upbeat and very happy person in all situations. Family meant everything to her; she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She passed from this world on December 9, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory Kirk. Her children Aimee Kirk; Adam Kirk, his wife Shannon and their children Brittany and Kaleb; and Alyssa Kirk-Bump, her husband David, and their children Valerie and Alaina; her parents Jerry and Sara Edwards; her sister Leslie Patterson, and her husband Randy; her mother-in-law Sharon Conley; her sister-in-law Tammy Branham; her nephew Ben Patterson, his wife Shea, and their children Bria and Emery; her nephew Jeremy Patterson; longtime family friend Sidney Kirk; and a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Add'Vantage Funeral Servcie.
Funeral 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 17, 2021 at Eastland Assembly of God Church, 12310 East 21st Street, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Randy Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Adam Kirk, David Bump, Ben Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, Kaleb Kirk, and Randy Patterson.
