Richard Lowell Harber, son of the late Lowell Cecil Harber and Willie Marie Harmon Harber, was born May 26, 1947 in Batesville, Arkansas. He departed this life December 12, 2021 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 16 days. Richard proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Judy Burns June 2, 1972 and together they raised two children. Richard spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, provider, and friend. Most of his working years were spent working with the United States Department of Agriculture as a poultry inspector. He served as a past board member of Farm Service Agency. Richard spent many years working his farm, raising cattle. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Wiseman Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Judy Harber of the home; one son: Doug Harber of Wiseman; one daughter: Michele Harber Kerlin and husband Chad of Hurlburt, Florida; three sisters: Janice Coffman of Benton, Joanna Stricker of Springdale, and Donna Brown and husband Larry of Salem; six grandchildren: Suzonne Beard, Allie Richardson, Chance Harber, Kylie Bell Harber, Angela Harrison, Dawn Kerlin; he was expecting his first great grandchild very soon; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law: George Coffman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 15 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Melbourne with Larry Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Violet Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Jeremy Burns, Jonathan Gilbreath, Greg Brunson, Justin Burns, Joe Brown, Jonathan Coffman.

Honorary Pallbearers: Stevie Smith, Lindell Tanner, Johnny Bookout, Jr., Randy Sherrell, Richard Beaver, Larry Jackson, Dennis Taylor, Elizabeth Henderson and Lindsey Cox.
