Virginia Louise Wolf was born on May 11, 1933 in Bordulac, ND, to John Wolf and Margret (Rensch) Wolf. She was raised in Bordulac and attended school there. After graduation, she taught school at Melville, ND. On November 16, 1953, Virginia married J. Maurice Carr in Bordulac; there they lived on a farmstead and raised ten children. Virginia enjoyed all aspects of farm life, including helping in the field and running for parts. Virginia was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Women's Alter Society. J. Maurice Carr passed away on November 22, 1993.
On December 11, 2007, she married Art Freeman and together they enjoyed driving the country side and playing cards. They sold the farm in Bordulac and moved to Carrington in 2012. Virginia entered Golden Acres Manor on November 28, 2014.
Virginia will be greatly missed by her husband, Art Freeman; loving children, Rett (Gary) Bata, Carrington, ND, Jean (Gary) Womble, Oklahoma City, OK, Robert Carr, Bordulac, ND, Clinton Carr, Carrington, ND, Linda (Brian) Duursma, Carrington, ND, Doug Carr, Woodville, TX, and Keith (Alice) Carr, Fargo, ND; 13 Grandchildren, Marcie Bata, Hilary Hafner, Chelsea Billings, Jesse Carr, Cashton Carr, Ryan Carr, Brittni Rodin, Mandi Freije, David Freeman, Jenna Carr, Claire Carr, Andrea Gideon, and Debbie Carr; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Patricia Andes, Parshall, ND, and Amelia Neveras, Tacoma, WA; brother-in-laws, Don (Lydia) Carr, Carrington, ND, and Virgil Barthel, Bordulac, ND; sister-in-law, Judy (Dick) Ziemba, Arizona; and step-children, John, Joe, Mike, Brian, Jim, and Dennis Freeman and families.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Maurice Carr; sons, Andy, Charlie, and Jonathan; great-grandson, Dash Freeman; numerous brothers and sisters; and a brother-in law and several sisters-in-law.
