DAVIS -- Services for Bessie Young Montgomery Pickens will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fox Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Finis Steelman and Dr. David Eggenberg officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Pickens died July 27, 1997, in the Ardmore hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1904, west of Davis, to Robert and Mary E. Harber Montgomery.
She was a Methodist and a lifetime resident of Davis. She and Thomas Pickens were married March 7, 1920, at Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 27, 1971; and two sons, Robert and Thomas.
Survivors include four daughters, Bertha Quick, Loco, Mary Tennison, Fort Worth, Texas, Irene Fleming and Eudora West, Davis; two sons, Chuck, McLoud, and Larry, Wynnewood; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
