Attorney John Greene Wright
WARSAW - Former Gallatin County Attorney John Greene Wright died Sunday at his home at 102 Riverview Drive, He was 64.
Mr. Wright was county attorney for nearly 30 years. He continued to practice law after leaving the county attorney's office in 1988.
Mr. Wright, a Henry County native, was a graduate of Transylvania College and the University of Kentucky College of Law.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason and aShriner. He was Grand Patron of Ghent Chapter No. 441 Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of Warsaw Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo McCardwell Wright; two sons, Joe Wright of Catlettsburg and John "Like" Wright of Warsaw; a daughter, Beth Wright of Warsaw; two brothers; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Riverside Cemetery in Falmouth. Visiting will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Warsaw Christian Church. Contributions are suggested to the Gallatin County Library. Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth is in charge of arrangements.
