Lance "Tubby" Hall, 86, of 2001 Ohio St., Bluefield, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 in a Princeton Health Care.

Born January 10, 1921 in Circleville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Walter Hall and Eleanor Pringle. Mr. Hall was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hall was formerly employed by Semco, Joy Manufacturing, R&T Electric, National Coil, and installed church furniture for years. Mr. Hall was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a devoted fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his son-in-law: John Skerko, and a grandson: David Skerko.

Survivors include his wife of the home: Arnolene Austin Hall, and a son also of the home: Arnold L. Hall; two daughters: Joyce Lynn Skerko of Bluefield, and Janet Sawyers and husband Don of Bluefield; a sister: Mary Sue Anderson and husband John of Galena, Ohio; and three grandchildren: Elizabeth Lowman, Jonathan Sawyers, and Kenneth Skerko all of Bluefield.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clinton M. Goad officiating. Burial will follow from the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Princeton. Serving the family as pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Friends may call at the funeral home today (Wednesday), December 19, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
