Judith Ann McGuire, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with her family by her side.

Judy was born on May 20, 1940 to the late Charles and Luella (Dayter) Bates. She was the wife, soulmate and best friend of her late husband, James J. McGuire.

Judy is the cherished mother of Ken Carpenter of Clifton Park, NY, Cindy Farrar of Schenectady, NY, Dan (Dina) McGuire of Schenectady, NY, Darlene Pearce of Glenville, NY and Scott (Amy) McGuire of Burnt Hills, NY. She is the adored grandmother of nine and great grandmother of three, who "she loved to pieces". She is also survived by her sister, Luella "Mitzi" Dominic and many nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her brother, Calvin C. Bates.

Some of Judy's favorite past family memories included camping trips to Wells, hiking and backyard barbeques with volleyball and swimming. She loved attending country concerts and spent hours dusting her adored knick-knacks while listening to her country favorites. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, pets and wild animals alike. In recent years, she loved spending time in her back yard, an oasis for her and poppy, taking care of it so that he could see the beauty from heaven. Although the family misses her dearly, they take comfort in knowing she is back in the arms of Poppy where she has longed to be.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Albany Medical Center for all of the care and kindness given to Judy.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parkview Cemetery, Schenectady. Masks are required inside and outside of our chapels.
