Edna was born April 26, 1932 in San Angelo to the late Andrew and Julia Coronado. She was married to David S. Hernandez on July 24, 1948. They were married for 50 years, had five children, ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Edna was a devoted wife and mother, supporting her Air Force husband through several family moves. She also worked outside the home for many years. Edna loved cooking for her family, friends and church and was known for her enchiladas and rice.
She was a woman of great faith in the Lord. Her radiant smile welcomed you in and everyone loved her hugs. Edna always served in her local church and most recently was a faithful member and prayer warrior at Spring Valley Baptist Church.
She loved her family deeply and looked forward to family gatherings on birthdays, holidays and special occasions. Edna was always interested in what her family was doing and supported them with encouragement, prayer and direction.
She was a big local sports fan cheering on her Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. Edna also enjoyed her Whataburger as often as she could.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, David S. Hernandez and husband, Edimencio Castillo; and son-in-law, Tony Carmona.
