Barbara H. Rogers, age 71, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Saturday, December 11, 2021 at home, with her loving family by her side, following a courageous 14 month battle with brain cancer which she fought to the end.
Born March 8, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Doris (Kophamel) Frazier. She graduated of the University of Minnesota, and then proudly served four years with the United States Navy as a cryptologic maintenance technician. She enjoyed a 30 year career as a telecommunications specialist for Illinois Bell, and later Ameritech and AT&T, until her retirement.
Barb was a single mother whose hard work and dedication served as an example of her character to her loving daughter and adoring grandsons. She was actively involved in the lives and activities of her grandsons, and was also a devoted and active member of Judson Church in Joliet.
She will be remembered for her love of sweets, especially candy and cookies, and she believed a meal was not complete without dessert.
Surviving are her beloved daughter, Michelle (Adam) Duncan of Joliet; two grandsons, Mason and Aaron, at home; one brother, Frederick (the late Mary) Frazier in North Carolina; one niece, Faye (Jeff) Martin; one nephew, Frederick (Liz) Frazier, Jr.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
