She married Harold A. Boggess on May 28, 1940 in the Salt Lake Temple. He passed away October 10, 1971 and she remained a widow the rest of her life. She was preceded in death also by Melvin, a son, two brothers and her parents. She is survived by David, her son and by Myra, her daughter. She has six grandchildren, Lisa, Clifford, William, Linda, Steven, Brian and five step-grandchildren, Julie, Margene, Cale, Lana and Ben. In addition there are 17 great-grand-children and three grea-great- grandchildren. She also is survived by sisters, Isabell Cowdell and Ann Daniels. Winnifred graduated from BYU and taught school for 40 years. She wrote curriculum for U-Sail and taught the children of American Oil Company employees in Saudi Arabia. She was active in several sororities, Delta Kappa Gamma and Alpha Theta State. She was active as a teacher and leader in her church and was the chairwoman of the English department in various junior high and middle schools. We thank the staff at Intermountain Medical Center for the way you treated our mother and family during this stressful time.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2007 at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 S. 900 E. There will be a viewing Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. and on Fri. from 10-11 a.m. at Memorial Estates Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Midvale City Cemetery, 471 W. 6th Ave.
