Terrie Lyn Dean passed away December 12, 2021 in Lakewood, Colorado. Born November 27, 1947 to Bobbie Dean, Sr. and Rosalie Lee (Linn), she was one of their four daughters. Terrie graduated Joplin Senior High School in 1965. During a marriage to Stephen Houk, Sr., she had one son, Stephen Houk, Jr.
Terrie worked as a cashier and data entry clerk for many years at a Walmart in Webb City. In 1988, she transferred to a Walmart store in Lafayette, Colorado. After establishing herself there, Terrie finished her career as a clerk at Merrill Lynch and American Family Insurance in Littleton, Colorado.
Terrie was preceded in death by her father Bobbie Dean, Sr. of Joplin, mother, Rosalie Lee (Linn) of Denver, Colorado, and two sisters Sondra Dean of Joplin and Janice Boone (Dean) of Carney, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her sister Marsha Layton (Dean) of Carthage, brother Bobbie Dean, Jr. of Joplin, son Stephen Houk, Jr., and grandchildren Margaret and Thaddeus Houk of Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
Cremation services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 21, at Horan and McConaty in Lakewood, Colorado.
