Dahlheimer, Merlin John at age 106 of Dayton, passed away on Dec. 10, 2021. Phillip and Delvina Dahlheimer, farmers, were blessed with the birth of their second son, Merlin John, on Jan. 26, 1915. He was one of seven children. He attended country school for 8 yrs. then worked on the family farm and for neighbors. John married his wife of 53 yrs., Mildred Weber of Fletcher on May 24, 1938.They bought their farm on the Mississippi River in Dayton and together raised 12 children.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; son, John and wife Janet; grandson, Todd; parents, Phillip and Delvina; siblings, Irwin, Leon, Florence Johnson, and Verna McNeil
