Gerald L. Thomas, formerly of Hookstown area, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021 following a valiant battle with ALS.
Born on November 10, 1958 in Raccoon Township, he was the son of George Thomas and the late Margaret (Roberts) Thomas.
Following graduation, Gerald was a bricklayer and Forman for Cost Company for 30 years. Following his diagnosis, Gerald and his wife Pamela made their way back to Moon Township. Gerry loved to hike, especially in Dolly Sods, WV. Most importantly, he loved to spend quality time with his family and his dog, Hildy.
In addition to his father and step-mother, George (Linda) Thomas, Gerry is survived by his lovely bride, Pamela Salerno; his children, Jared (Veronica) Thomas, Rhiann (Jeremy) Schlemmer, Colin Thomas, and Marla Thomas; his brother, George (Audra) Thomas III; his sisters, Diane Thomas, Lynda Keefer, and Karen (Whitey) White; grandchildren, Derek, Reid, and Eve Schlemmer; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his mother, Gerald was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Fred Keefer.
Friends will be received on Monday from 5-8PM at the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Chippewa Twp., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, www.gabauerfamilyfuneralhomes.com, after which time a funeral service will be held with Rev. Lee Bittner as officiant.
In accordance with his wishes, Gerald will be cremated following the service.
Private inurnment will be in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
