TSgt (RET) Brenda Lee Moore (Williams), 62, of Rochester, passed away on Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Brenda was born on August 20th, 1959 to the late Robert and Louise Williams of Aliquippa. Brenda was a veteran of the Gulf War Era, based at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother and best friend Freddie Williams.

After graduating from Aliquippa Senior High in 1978, she went on to study Sociology at University of Pittsburgh in which she earned an associate degree. In 1983, Brenda decided to enlist into the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, where she spent 22 years, 8 months and 26 days defending the United States of America with honor and pride. It was not until 2005 that Brenda retired with an honorable discharge from the 171st Air Refueling Wing. Brenda received many awards such as Global War on terrorism, Air Force expeditionary ribbon, Air Force overseas ribbon, Armed forces reserve medal, Armed Forces expenditionary medal, Air Force longevity service award, National defense service medal, Air Force meritorious service medal, and Armed forces reserve medal w/ M device. It is evident that Brenda not only served our country but did it with such diligence and tenacity.

While their marriage did not last forever, Brenda and Robert Moore Sr. remained close until the day she departed. As a team, they raised five boys Jamaur Law (Jasmine), Joshua Moore, Jonathan Moore, Jairus Moore, and step-son Robert Moore Jr. (Deborah) whom she adored whole heartedly. She is survived by her brothers and sisters Kim Williams, Robert Williams, Sherri Lay, Theresa Williams, and Connie Psomas (James); several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Not only did her family and the military have her heart, but she also dedicated her life to Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who was always number one and the head of her life.. She was a faithful member of Triedstone Baptist Church in Aliquippa, Pa, where she also served as a Sunday School teacher. She was awarded as a faithful servant for her love and dedication to the church.

Brenda was passionate about hanging out and spending time with her sons. She would love singing alongside Mrs Freeman, working with the NAACP-Martin Luther King Jr. committee, serving in the military, running on the track, power walking, baking her infamous pineapple upside down cake and when she wasn't filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at WalMart or Giant Eagle socializing with the staff. We will miss her greatly.

The family requests that all flowers and notes be sent to Triedstone Baptist Church, 505 Washington St. Aliquippa, Pa. 15001; where the viewing will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM.

Our mother will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies located in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania.
