He grew up in Minneapolis area and attended Minneapolis schools. He was united in marriage to the love of his live Kathy Ball and to this union were born two children, Miranda and James.
Mike enjoyed the outdoors with a special love for cars and racing. He had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke or story to tell.
He is survived by daughter Miranda (Bryon) Anderson; son James (Christina) Haley; grandsons, three grandsons; sister Lynn (Dave) Rasmussen; brother Steve (Heather) Haley; father-in-law Don Ball; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other friends and family. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathy Haley, parents Jack and Virginia Haley, and mother-in-law Wydonna Ball.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 8, at the Bennington Fire Station at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Bennington Fir Department.
