Professional Gymnast, Olympic Gold Medalist. He was born as Karl Arvid Holtman in Ekerö, Sweden, on December 20, 1896. He He was also a professional gymnast who was a member of the club Stockholms GF (or Stockholms Gymnastikförening), of Täby, Sweden. He would eventually go onto represent his home country of Sweden at the 1920 Summer Olympics that were held in Antwerpen, Belgium. Together with his team members including Fausto Alesio Acke, Albert Andersson, Helge Bäckander, Bengt Bengtsson, Fabian Biörck, Erik Charpentier, Sture Ericsson, Konrad Granström, Helge Gustafsson, Åke Häger, Ture Hedman, Sven Johnson, Sven-Olof Jonsson, Karl Lindahl, Edmund Lindmark, Bengt Morberg, Frans Persson, Klas Särner, Curt Sjöberg, Gunnar Söderlindh, John Sörenson, Alf Svensén, and Gösta Törner, he was part of the Swedish men's gymnastics team which won an Olympic Gold Medal in the Team All-Around Competition Swedish System Gymnastics Men's Event. His final team standing score result was ranking 1 with 1.363.833 points. He continued to represent club Stockholms GF (or Stockholms Gymnastikförening), of Täby, Sweden, and be active in sports events until his death. He was married to Sigrid Gulli Boberg Andersson in Stockholm, Sweden, on December 1, 1931. He passed away in Stockholm, Sweden, on January 28, 1992, at the age of 95, and he was buried in Norra Begravningsplatsen in Solna, Sweden, where several other famous Swedish personalities are also laid to rest.
