John retired from OCWA after 42 years of service. He was one of the founding fathers of the UFPO and served on the Board of Directors and Chairman of it's nominating committee for over 25 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks. John was also a Veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester J. Hale and mother, Janet Hale.
He is survived by his two sons, Matthew and Andrew; two grandsons, and three great grandchildren,
Calling Hours will be held on December 15, 2021 from 10-12pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals with sharing of memories and military honors to follow. Interment will be held at Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Moose International, 155 S.
