Flora Brown Pierce was born August 3, 1935, in Gregg County, Texas to Comie Brown and Lucile Brown. Flora attended Pleasant Hill Schools. At an early age she joined Pleasant Hill C.M.E. Church which she was a faithful member many years. Flora moved her membership to Lewis Chapel C.M.E. Church and was a faithful member until her health failed. She served on the Stewardess Board for many years.
She was married to Robert Pierce Sr. and to this union six children were born.
Flora departed this life on October 20, 2021 at Longview Regional Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings Etta Mae Williams, Hurie Brown, Prentiss Brown and William Brown; one daughter Phyllis Pierce Thomas; one grandson Joshua Pierce and one great-grandson Roderick Pierce.
