Sandra Darlene "Donnie" Wood, 61, passed away December 9, 2021, in Butner, NC.

Ms. Wood was born January 19, 1960 to the late Talton Wallace Wood, Sr. and Elsie Harris Wood, Sr. in Durham. She was a very loving, caring, giving person who loved going to the beach and to the mountains. Sandra enjoyed attending services at Riverside Baptist Church. She retired from Nortel with 22 years of service.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wood is preceded in death by her brother, Talton Wallace Wood, Jr.; and a sister, Dianne Jones Wallen.

Sandra is survived by her fiancé, Carlton Wilkes of Bahama, sisters; her twin sister Beverly Marlene "Monnie" Oldham (Eddie), Kay Hurst (Carlton) and Fay Howerton; family friend "Mom" Pat Bullock and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved very much.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
