Don was known for his strong work ethic and was a life-long farmer. He worked over 30 years for Libbey-Owens Ford, retiring at age 50, while still managing the farm as well. Many times working on only 2 hours of sleep. Don was a member of Swanton American Legion Post #479. He was a huge WWE fan and enjoyed watching Gun Smoke, The Andy Griffith Show and Judge Judy. He loved working word search puzzles and taking long drives in his candy apple red 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. Most of all, Don enjoyed spending time with his family and supporting his grandson, Brodie, at his wrestling events.
Don is survived by his daughter, Denise (Robert) Stevens; grandchildren, Wesley (Jenelle) Stevens, Andrew Stevens, Jeffery Kennedy, Jr., Betsy Kennedy and Michael Kennedy; several great-grandchildren; step-brother, David (Marlene) Kennedy and John (Phyllis) Kennedy; step-sister, Carolyn (Earl) Clegge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his beloved wife, Donna, Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Kennedy; son, Jeffrey Kennedy, Jr.; 2 infant sons; brother, Glen Kennedy and sisters, Lee Heintz, Jean Kennedy and Mary Ellen Kennedy.
