Shirley Ann BELL
APRIL 4, 1939 – NOVEMBER 20, 2021

Shirley Ann (Neff) Bell, 82 of Cantonment FL was called home to be with Jesus on November 20, 2021.
Shirley was born April 6, 1939 in Akron OH. After she graduated high school, she served 3 and a half years in the Navy where she met her husband of nearly 60 years, James N. Bell.

They came to Pensacola in 1973 when James retired from the Navy. She earned an associate's degree at Pensacola Jr Collage. She worked as a secretary and then a day care teacher. After more traveling they bought a house and settled in Cantonment.

She was well known for her compassion and willingness to help others. She loved children and stayed in touch with many she had taken care of while working as a day care teacher.

She served as a Steven Minister for some years. She volunteered at Hospice, Waterfront Rescue Mission, and most recently, at First Ensley Baptist Church where she helped with "Takin' it to the Streets Homeless Outreach", "Women and Children's Cold Weather Shelter" and "A Future and a Hope Women's Recovery Program", a Faith-based, Christ-centered Recovery and Discipleship Ministry for Women.

Although she was nominated and won 2 recognitions awards while at Hospice and she was awarded "Angle in our Mist" while at Waterfront Rescue Mission, she was most proud of all the people she was able to help.

She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband James N Bell, three children, Cindy, James and Coleen, her step daughter Jamie, and her sister Betty, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
