She was a graduate of Jessamine County High School. Laura continued her education studying nursing at University of Kentucky and obtained her Master Degree in Nursing from Western Governors University. She worked more than 20 years as a labor and delivery nurse and had spent time passing on her expertise to students at NEO nursing school as an educator. At her time of passing she was employed at UKG as a Pre Sales Consultant, connecting with people across the country in the healthcare industry.
Laura enjoyed traveling, bowling, and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats. She brought joy and sparkle wherever she went. Above all else, Laura loved spending time with her family.
Laura is survived by her loving husband Jason Taylor of 31 years. They were married in Lexington, Kentucky. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Nathan Taylor and wife Kaitlin, Jared Taylor and his wife Taryn; her two grandsons Benjamin and Daniel Taylor; her brother Robert Stephens and sister Shanna LeBaron; her father Sherman Stephens and wife Charlene; and her niece and nephews. Her mother Nancy Stephens precedes her in death.
The funeral service will be held on December 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Ministries in Seneca, MO with the graveside to immediately follow at Glenn Abbey Cemetery in Miami, OK. The visitation will also be held at Lighthouse Ministries on December 13th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
