Larry L. Clark, 82, of Edwardsburg, MI passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN.

Larry was born in Elkhart, IN on July 27, 1939. He married the love of his life, Marlene (Shank) Clark on October 6, 1962 in Osceola, IN and remained devoted to her for 59 years of marriage.

Family was everything to Larry. He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He loved living on the lake where family and friends frequently gathered. He loved getting together with his family, especially during his favorite holidays Christmas and July 4th. He always looked forward to family vacations where he was able to do his favorite things – fishing, playing games and enjoying the outdoors. In addition, he treasured camping with his wife and friends, mushroom hunting, eating desserts, and serving at the church.

Larry was a 1957 graduate of Jimtown High School in Elkhart, IN. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. Larry was an office manager retiring from Motion Industries (formerly Bearing Service of South Bend) after 48 years. Larry was a member of Granger Missionary Church for 45 years serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, Flock/Life Group Leader, and church choir member. He was also active in prison fellowship ministry and leading bible studies at the church and in their home.

Larry was preceded in death by his unborn son, Stuart Glenn Clark; parents, Glenn L. Clark and Mary E. (Stoner) Clark Moss; stepfather, Raymond Moss; and brother-in-law, Larry Brown.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Marlene; children, Sheryl (Chuck) Simmons of St. Clair Shores, MI, Scott (Donita) Clark of Granger, IN and Shawn (Kent) Oakley of Columbus, OH; brother, Tim (Peggy) Clark of Mishawaka, IN and sisters, Carol Brown of Elkhart, IN and Cathy (Jerry) Zahner of Wakarusa, IN; grandchildren, Lindsey Swinehart, Adam (Jamie) Swinehart, Jaymee (Phil) Tanger, Scottie (Patty) Clark, Thomas Simmons, Madison Oakley, Vita Simmons, Abby Oakley, and Ben Oakley; and great granddaughter, Holly Tanger.

A gathering of friends and family for Larry will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Military honors will be rendered at the start of his Celebration of Life service beginning at noon at Granger Missionary Church, 50841 Birch St., Granger, IN 46530. Larry and Marlene's pastors, Jason Dickenson and Tom Murphy, will officiate the service for the family. The gathering will be live streamed beginning at 11:00 am.
