Susan "Sue" Mae James, 64, of Kitzmiller passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, from complications of COVID-19 at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD. She was the wife of Danny James.
Sue was born in Oakland, MD on September 3, 1957, to the late Elwood and Gilda (Harvey) Paugh. She worked for many years at McDonalds in Oakland.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Peggy Sue Lester and husband Bob of Youngstown, OH and her son Jesse James and wife Krissy of Oakland. She will be missed by her grandchildren Jesse, Jr., Laina, Shayla, Ericka, Colin, and Kayla, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Cinnamon.
Sue was truly a free spirit. She was a fan of the Andy Griffith Show and liked to ride the Harley with husband Danny. Sue loved the outdoors and found the beauty in nature that others didn't see. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by a son, Jason James and a brother, Ronald Paugh.
Her family will welcome friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Pritts Funeral Chapel, 931 State Street, Kitzmiller, MD 21538. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with the Reverend Matthew Paugh officiating. Interment will follow at Nethken Hill Cemetery, Nethken Hill Road, Elk Garden, Nethken Hill, WV 26717.
