Harry Lovell Johnson, 76, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, December 9, 2021 in the Washington Hospital.

He was born May 22, 1945, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Bernice Johnson and Moses Dean.

Mr. Johnson was a 1963 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

He worked for Washington Steel/Allegheny Ludlum for 17 years, retiring in February of 2007.

Lovell had served as Sunday School Superintendent at the former First Baptist Church in Westland.

He was a diehard Steeler fan, raised rabbits and enjoyed hunting and working in the yard.

On July 2, 1982 he married Cynthia Brown who survives.

Also surviving are three children, Lorraine B. Johnson of Pittsburgh, Lovell R. Johnson of Houston and Belinda Smith of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Lovell T. Johnson, DaeMon Lovell Palmer, Stephen LeRon Vandiver and Kierra Parrott; a god daughter, Chelsea Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342. Services and interment will be private.
