She graduated from Westmer High School in Joy, Illinois.
Following her graduation from high school, Juanita enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Juanita honorably served in the Navy during Vietnam War.
Following her discharge, Juanita went to work as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. Following her marriage in 1965, she became a housewife and she raised her children. Once her children went to elementary school in 1977, Juanita attended Blackhawk College and because a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as an LPN for several nursing homes in Illinois and the Denver Metro area until her retirement.
On December 11, 1965, she married Clyde R. Cooper.
Juanita was a member of the Lioness Club in Illinois and the American Legion Post 1992 Auxiliary in Aurora. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved to play BUNCO, doing crafts, gambling and traveling. She will forever be remembered for her impact with her nursing on the patients that she cared for.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clyde Ray Cooper, Sr, her parents, and her brother, Gary Chenault.
