Donald Grover Adkins, age 77, of Dana, KY, husband of Lois Kidd Adkins, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born December 2, 1944 in Pike County, a son of the late Henry and Dixie Tibbs Adkins. He was a retired coal miner and also worked as a carpenter.

In addition to his wife, Lois, he is survived by three sons; Donald Ray (Marellen) Adkins, Steven Alex Adkins and Christopher Scott Adkins, three brothers; Randall Adkins, Michael Adkins and Greg Adkins, seven sisters; Phyllis Ervin, Sylvia McKinney, Christine Thacker, Fredia Hall, Kay Sargent, Lisa Tackett and Jerldean Adkins, seven grandchildren; Brittany Renee, Jordan Alexis, Amanda Lee, Steven Donald, Bethany, Adalyn Sophia and Christopher Darrell, seven great grandchildren; Bentley Kayson, Braylei, Milleigh, Jaycee, Trenton Lee, Leland and Shelby.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Larry and Roger Neal Adkins.

Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
