He was born September 26, 1968, in Kittanning, to Gary S. Wood, who survives him, and the late Dixie (Dunn) Wood, who died November 16, 2021.
Dustin was the most loving, caring, kindhearted father to his children, Taylor and Spencer Wood. He dedicated his entire life to them. He spent many years as a stay-at-home dad, which was a huge blessing in his ability to give his time and deep affection to his home and family.
Prior to his work-related lung disease, Dustin was talented in the work he did for the tool and die industry.
He loved spending time with his furry best friend, Mater, and his furry sidekick, Flo. Dustin enjoyed summertime in his backyard paradise while relaxing by his pool. Dirt bikes were a passion of his since he was young, and he passed that hobby onto his son, Spencer. He was known for sharing MANY beautiful pictures of the Ross Avenue sunsets! He was an excellent cook and there were many shared memories from the kitchen table with his kids. His nieces and nephews enjoyed "Uncle Dustin's" sense of humor and times spent together. Dustin also enjoyed family picnics at the "Knob" and spending time with extended family.
His love for his children and memories made with each and every one of us will live on in our hearts forever.
In addition to his father, Dustin is survived by his two children: Taylor Elise Wood and Spencer Erin Wood; his friend and mother of his children, Denise Spencer; his sister-in-law, Rochelle Wood-Burns (Stephen); a nephew, Logan Burns; nieces: Paige Wood and Olyvia Burns; a great-niece, Oaklie Wood; an aunt, Sandy Cribbs; an uncle, Larry Wood (Sandy); and his special friend, Jessica King.
In addition to his mother, Dustin is preceded in death by his brother, Erin Wood, and a nephew, Mason Wood.
Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery.
