Janet G. Clark, age 96, of Woodbridge VA, went to be with the Lord on November 26, 2021. She was born and raised in Bolivar, PA. She was the oldest of 12 children born to Jonathan Wynn and Catherine Sophia Lichtenfels.

She graduated from Bolivar High School where she was one of the best athletes in the school.

During World War II she worked at the grenade factory near Indiana PA. She was a final pin assembler and inspector.

Janet married Robert Clark in 1946. They were married for 64 years until his passing in 2010. They moved to Woodbridge in 1954 when Bob accepted employment with Capital Airlines.

Janet was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She was a constant source of kindness, caring, love and encouragement to her family and friends. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Woodbridge. She loved this church and the congregation, with many becoming close friends throughout the years. She would not consider moving from her home as she never wanted to lose her church or the support she received from church members.

Janet loved spending time with her family. As Robbie and Gary were growing up the family was introduced to camping, when Robbie was in Boy Scouts. This became a lifelong source of enjoyment for her, with many trips to Skyline Drive, the Great Smokey Mountains, and all-time favorite, Myrtle Beach. In fact, this love for camping led Janet and Bob to purchase a camp site at Indian Acres where she enjoyed many happy days with her family. When Matthew was young everyone knew that during the summer, if you were looking for Janet, she was either at Indian Acres or Kings Dominion providing fun and loving care for Matthew. She would go on rides with him, even if she was a little fearful, to ensure his happiness. Janet loved to travel and thanks to Bob's job with United Airline, they were able to take many vacations to Hawaii. If anyone suggested a trip or activity, Janet was always ready to go, as long as she was with her boys or sisters, she would take on anything! Shopping was another thing Janet really enjoyed, especially with her sisters. She always found great deals and some thing to make her home a beautiful and comfortable place. Her green thumb was also evident in her home, she could make any plant grow and flourish.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert, sisters Betty, Wilma, Irene, brothers Jonathan (Boy) and Alexander (Alec), parents Jonathan and Catherine.

She is survived by her sons Robert W. Clark and his wife Karen of Stafford VA, and Gary L. Clark and his wife Pamela of Richmond VA, her sisters Joanne, Connie, Barbara and Cathy and brothers Robert and Donald. She is also survived by her grandson Matthew Clark, step-grandson Alec Ralston and his wife Judith and their three children, Peter, Emma and Zoee.
