For a number of years, she was a laborer for Perdue Poultry Plant. Her love for family and friends was second to none. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, sewing and gardening as her hobbies.

Those left to cherish precious memories of Ethel Mae Johnson's life are: her children, James Junior Johnson and Donnia Johnson; her siblings, Redell and Leroy Frost of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Christina Daniels Ford, Gloria Allen Moore and Iris Allen, all of Walterboro, South Carolina, Sharon and Melvin Edwards of Springlake, North Carolina, Nancy Brown Lee of Washington, DC, Greg and Cathy Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, Jimmy Green of Brooklyn, New York and Hermon Ford of New York, New York; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren and a special friend, Wendell Timmons.

In addition to her parents, J.C. Those we love must someday pass, beyond our present sight. Must leave us and the world we know, without their radiant light. But we know that like a candle, their lovely light will surely shine. To brighten up another place, more perfect, more divine. And in the realm of Heaven, where they shine so warm and bright. Our loved ones live forevermore, in God's eternal light.
