He was born June 9, 1945 and was preceded in death by his father and mother William Banie and Rachel Ansell Simmons.
Mr. Simmons had a successful career, an architect, superintendent, and stone carver. He was artistic and creative. He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for boating, fishing, and hunting. He loved dogs and trained them professionally.
He was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife of 43 years, his three children and four grandchildren.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, Dec. 10 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service begins at 2:00PM at the Amissville United Methodist Church. A graveside service will follow at the Hitt Family Cemetery,
