Ralph Arnott Passed away June 5, 2012 at home with family. He was born May 10, 1924 and grew up in San Francisco. He graduated from Balboa High School and was playing minor league baseball for the Cincinnati Reds before joining the Army. He was involved with the D-Day Invasion and the Battle of the Bulge with the 2nd Armored Division. After the war, he and his new wife Doris Laverne Reynolds Arnott moved to their new home in Daly City where they raised 4 sons. He was with the Teamsters and the Tile Setters Union over 30 years and remained active in sports, coaching youth sports, playing baseball with the San Francisco Old Timers League and bowling leagues until he was 82. He and his wife were members of the Balboa Alumni Association and celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year. He is survived by his wife Doris, their 4 sons, Rex, Budd, Brett and Rory, their wives, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial in his honor will be held at the family home on June 30th.
