LINDSEY'S OBITUARY
Lindsey Michelle Duncan passed away Tuesday Nov. 23, 2021 from complications of heart failure in Madison, WI. She now rests in heaven with her dearly loved grandparents.

Lindsey was born Sept. 16, 1979 in Stillwater, OK to Teresa and Fred Duncan. Lindsey spent her early years in the Ada, OK area before moving to Lincoln, NE where she attended Lincoln Public Schools and graduated from Lincoln High in 1998. Lindsey enrolled in college in Lincoln, but soon decided it wasn't for her. Shortly after that she joined Payless Cashways Lumber Co. She held several positions there, each one with increased responsibilities. Lindsey joined Home Depot in 2016 in Madison, WI as manager of one of their largest stores in the region.

Lindsey's managerial experience brought her to David's Bridal Store in 2017 where she loved the challenge of going into a completely different business. She was dedicated in guiding each employee, who she affectionately called her girls and yes a few boys on a successful career path along with seeing brides prepare for that very extra special day and seeing their dreams come true.

One of Lindsey & Joe's treasured activities was attending various concerts, with Lindsey continuing the concert thru out the ride home. She loved singing along with her favorites such as the Zach Brown Band, Blake Shelton & Lady GaGa. Her favorite athlete was LeBron James and any team he played for. She was a fan of reality TV shows. Lindsey's humor peppered everything in her life. She found humor in almost anything. The joyous holiday of Christmas was an all time favorite for her. She perfected giftwrapping skills beyond belief & enjoyed sharing it with friends & family. Her adored golden doodle Birdie brought tremendous delight & amusement to her life. Lindsey had a quite compassionate, giving heart for those in need. She was willing to help those with everyday set-backs others would overlook. Even sometimes at her own expense. Lindsey had a passion for women's rights. She had seen discrimination in her own career and she spent countless hours modeling & excelling in the work place thru hard work, dedication & education to encourage others. Her favorite charity became Thistle Farms where women who have suffered from various types of abuse were helped. Her final act of selflessness was deciding to be an organ donor.
