Born in Watervliet on June 11, 1930, daughter of the late Enos and Isabel Fox, she was a Watervliet High School graduate.
Dolores was a homemaker most of her life, however she had also worked at JR's Sub Shop in Mechanicville and Montgomery Ward many years ago.
Dolores was a longtime poll worker at the Troy voting booths and had also served on the PTA while her children were in school.
Dolores had a sharp mind and rarely forgot a birthday. She enjoyed crafting, trips to the casino and Bingo and was a great dancer. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and trips to North Carolina to visit with her son and his family.
Dolores was predeceased by her first husband Herbert Davis in 1986 and then her husband William Smith, whom she was able to enjoy 18 years of marriage with, until his passing in 2015, a grandson Michael Proper and her sister Margaret Robillard.
Survivors include her children: Judy (George) Smith of Mechanicville, Joyce (John) Nusca of Saratoga Springs and John (Kimberly) Davis of N.C, step children Scott (Nicole Romano) Smith, Cynthia (and late William) McKenna, Mark Smith, and Matthew Smith and Janice Zeno Smith; grandchildren Jennifer (Peter) Miller, Kenneth (Lisa McMahon) Proper, the late Michael, Lisa (Paul) King, and Patrick (Christina) Davis, step grandchildren Keri, Jessica, Angelina, and Matthew; as well as 11 great grandchildren, her brother Enos "Jerry (Diane) Fox of Saratoga Springs, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held with burial to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
