Services for Henry Edward "Punchie" Ferguson, 57, of Washington, who died Thursday, June 24, 2010, at University Medical Center in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church in Washington.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Mr. Ferguson was born March 10, 1953, in Adams County, the son of John Henry Ferguson and Hattie Floyd Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Charles Jackson and Percy George Ferguson.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Joann Ferguson; four children, Dexter Ferguson of Dallas, Shunlekee Ferguson of Atlanta, Ciara Ferguson and John Henry Ferguson, both of Natchez; one grandson, Christian J. Ferguson; four sisters, Dr. Deloris Ferguson-Richardson and husband, John, of Maryland, Harriet Ferguson-Saunders of Detroit, Bettye Ferguson of Rockville, Md., and Hattie Ferguson-Smith of Natchez; one brother, David Wayne Ferguson and wife, Susan, of Laurel; one aunt, Geraldine Floyd of Natchez; five sisters-in-law, Dr. Ruby N. As-Sabor and husband, Ayyub, Dr. Patricia White and husband, Cyrus, Adair Jackson, Glenda Fay Ferguson and Bobbie Harris and husband, Athony; five brothers-in-law, Charles White, James White and wife, Carolyn, Daniel White and wife, Cassandra, John White and wife, Kitasha, and Dr. Terry White and wife, Rhonda, all of Natchez; 17 nieces; 14 nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
