He was the eldest child of the late Tommie Joe Reeves and Gladys Houston Reeves and was born on April 28, 1942 in Hickory, Mississippi.
Tom received his education in the Harrisburg School District and in 1960, he graduated from the former John Harris High School where he excelled in football, track, and baseball.
On June 29, 1961, he was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Virginia "Mungie" Harty Reeves. Their union was blessed with two daughters: Dawn and Deborah.
Tom was a U.S. Army veteran.
During his working career, he was employed by Hood Trucking of Mechanicsburg and Amoco Oil of Mechanicsburg from which he retired.
Tom was an avid sports fan and staunch supporter of the Harrisburg High School Cougars and the Dallas Cowboys.
He enjoyed listening to jazz, carpentry, gardening, and playing pinochle.
Tom leaves to celebrate his life and cherish irreplaceable memories: his daughters: Dawn R. Reeves and Deborah L. R. Waters (Earl), all of Harrisburg; his granddaughters: Dionna J. Reeves of Harrisburg and Tyrah D. Waters of Alexandria, Virginia; his grandsons: DeMarcus J. Reeves of Harrisburg and Taylor R. Waters of Dover, Delaware; his great-grandson: Braylen D. Bradley of Harrisburg; his sisters: Joyce Eichelberger of Saginaw, Michigan and Gloria Bonner of Harrisburg; his brother: Jimmie Reeves (Marsha); his sisters-in-law: Andrea Mack (Lawyer) of Oberlin and Marva Moore of Harrisburg; his cousins; his nieces and nephews; and, his friends.
