Rockbridge County Resident Dies At Age 64
November 4, 1957 - December 2, 2021 - Larry Ray Clark lived a beautiful life of simple rules.
A hard-working man, he believed you should never miss a single day of work. Except for when your son is born.
A loyal fan, he believed you should always cheer for the home team. But not the Washington Football Team – never them, just the Redskins.
A fair man, he believed you do not have favorites. Unless it's your grandson – grandsons are always the favorite.
A family man, he believed family were the only people you needed. Except Willie Nelson and Lynyrd Skynyrd – Larry frequently invited them in.
Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda Sue Clark; his son – the reason for his one absence on the job – Jason Allen Clark and Jason's fiancé, Chelsea DeCasper. He leaves behind his favorite person, his grandson, Jackson Jay Clark. He is also survived by his mother, Hilda Marie Clark; his sisters, Margaret Darlene Lacey and Pamela Sue Colwell, and their husbands, Peter Lacey and Kim Colwell; and his brother, Brian Keith Clark.
Larry, we'll miss you deeply. But we know Willie Nelson's got you on the road again.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Oxford Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Horace Douty officiating.
