Demetrius (DJ Meechie) James Anderson was born in Pensacola, Florida, on May 1, 2000. He was the only child of Jennifer Wherry and second of Blair Anderson.

Demetrius graduated from Pine Forest High School in 2018. As a youth, DJ loved playing soccer and video games. As he became a young man, his passion turned to sports cars. He was also inspired and mentored by a close friend (Ziggy) to become a disc jockey (DJ) and he became quite popular at many events throughout the community.
He loved life to the fullest and took pride in introducing his friends to his church family at New Beginnings Anointed Christian Center.

Demetrius was suddenly called to his heavenly home on December 3, 2021
He is preceded in death by his grandfather James L. Wherry.
His loving spirit will be missed but not forgotten by his loving parents, Jennifer Wherry, and Blair (Natile) Anderson; grandmothers Olevia Wherry and Julia Weeks; grandfather, John Edward Anderson; brother, Atticus Anderson; Godmother, Cheryl Locke; girlfriend, Shaniya Pettway and her daughter, Alani Madison; and a host of aunties, uncles, and friends.
