Mrs. Donnie Belle Douglas, daughter of the late Mr. Will Rouse and Mrs. Kate Condra Rouse, was born September 5, 1909, in Monroe County and departed this life on Monday, November 21, 1994, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was 85 years, two months and 16 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Green County Church of Christ. She united in marriage to Johnnie Levi Douglas on June 20, 1927, who preceded her in death on December 4, 1980. To this union were born two daughters and one son: Ruth Paxton and Deane Hudgins, both of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by William Donald Douglas. She is also survived by two sisters: Dona Goosby of Bowling Green and Lizzie High of Tompkinsville; one step-brother: Doyle Walden of Tompkinsville; four granddaughters: Betty Gene Cobb of North Carolina, Pamela Anderson of Greensburg, Donna Woodruff of Greensburg, and Sharon Head of Elizabethtown; 2 step-grandsons: Kevin Hudgins and Chris Hudgins, both of Greensburg; one great-grandchild: Chas Head of Elizabethtown; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mrs. Donnie Belle Douglas were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 24, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cem. Rev. Craig Waddell officiated. Active pallbearers were Wendell High, Tonny Waldon, Timmy Waldon, J. B. Waldon, Danny King and Kevin Hudgins. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Green Co. Church of Christ.
