Visitation is Saturday, December 11, 2021, 9:30-10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS. Funeral services are 10:00 am Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale, MS, with burial in the Grenada Memorial Gardens, Grenada, MS. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale, MS is handling the arrangements.
Nancy was a quiet soul with a lot of talents and gifts. She was an assistant at Kirkpatrick Elementary School for 23 years. She enjoyed children and was extremely gifted in analyzing some of their behavior problems. She would talk to each child individually with great care and concern and help each child to be a better person. She was an amazing quilter. She volunteered her time with the Tutwiler Quilters at the Tutwiler Community Education Center. The Tutwiler Quilters began in 1988. People would piece and quilt in their homes. Programs at the center enriched the lives of families. In addition to quilting, Nancy was an excellent seamstress. She could make anything including Roman shades.
Nancy was a mother to three beautiful children she was very proud of - Todd, Elizabeth, and Michael. She enjoyed being a grandmother and being with her grands. Family was extremely important to her. She prayed for each child to be successful in their careers.
Nancy loved art and art pieces. She noticed intricate details in artwork. She had studied art classes in college.
Nancy had great dedication to her family and teaching. She was loved by all who came in contact with her. She also loved her Catholic faith.
Survivors include her husband Gary Scott Peacock of Clarksdale, MS; sons Todd (Cheryl) Peacock of Orlando, FL, Michael Peacock of Clarksdale, MS; daughter Elizabeth (Jeremy) Bragg of Paris, TN; brothers David Wood of Grenada, MS, Jim (Pat) Wood of Cleveland, MS; sisters Miriam (Buddy) Honeycutt of Grenada, MS. Jean (Billy) Bennett of Senatobia, MS, Margaret (Steve) Terracina of Greenville, MS; 5 grandchildren Craig Peacock, Catelyne Bragg, Molley Bragg, Lillian Bragg, Bryson Bragg.
