Hazel Thompson, 98, of Hixson, TN, passed away on December 3, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Thompson, Jr., brothers: Donald Knox, Wallace Knox, Wayne Knox, Willard Knox and Willis Knox, and a cousin, Franklin Roberson.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Walt) Morgan, grandson Andrew (Leesa) Morgan, great- granddaughter Davina Morgan, sister -in- laws Joann Knox, Maryann Stilwell and Sara Thompson, nieces, Charlotte (JR) Humphries, Karen (Steve) Bovell, Bridgett (Luther) Roy, nephews, Wayne (Kim) Knox, Wallace (Deena) Knox Jr. and Rodney (Harriett)Thompson, cousin Harold (Carolyn) Roberson. several great - nieces and nephew and great- great nieces and nephews.

Hazel was born in Georgetown TN to Luther and Pearl Knox. She attended Meadowview School and graduated in 1942 from Ooltewah High School. She was a lifelong member of Woodland Heights Baptist church and retired from Millers Department store. She loved her family church, gardening and traveling. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Red Bank and Hospice Amedisys for the care and compassion showed Hazel during her illness.

Graveside services will be at 2 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Pallbearers are JR Humphries, Steve Bovell, Bryl King, Walt Tyson, Joe Roberson, Josh Humphries, Ryan Hood, and Cameron Hogan.

The family request that in Lieu of Flowers that memorial contributions can be given in her name to Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 953 Beason Drive Chattanooga TN 37405.
