Phyllis Ann White, 63, entered into eternal rest at Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital on Sunday, December 5, 2021, surrounded by family.

She was born September 5, 1958 to Cortie Tidwell Jr, and Betty Lou McNary Tidwell.

Phyllis attended Earlington High School and was a 1976 graduate of West Hopkins High School where she played basketball.

Phyllis was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as church clerk, on the usher board, choir member, and helped in the culinary arts department.

Phyllis was an avid bowler and bowled at Melody Lanes in a league along side her husband Dale for many years. She loved to dress and always coordinated her outfit from head-to-toe. Phyllis loved clothes, purses, hair, shoes, and jewelry. She loved to decorate, plan parties, and do hair in her free time. Phyllis loved and collected anything with her favorite animated cartoon character Betty Boop. She was an avid sports spectator and supported her kids and grandkids in all their sporting activities. She loved the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Phyllis loved people and never met a stranger. Wherever she went, she would always know someone. She touched and impacted so many lives. She worked for Baptist Health for many years as CNA, Medical Assistant, and EKG Technician. Over the years she worked for numerous physicians. She loved her patients and they loved her. She treated everyone as family. Phyllis was always willing to help anyone in need and opened her home many times to family and friends alike.

Phyllis lit up the room everywhere she went with her fun personality, she was the life of a party. She was always cheerful and even in her illness she tried to cheer up those around her.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Helen Theresa, Agatha Tidwell, and Brandi Kirkwood. Brothers, Cartie Mac, Timothy, and Kenneth Tidwell. Also, several aunts and uncles.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her childhood sweetheart and husband of 37 years, Dale White, Sr, children, Shantell White, Dale White, Jr., Lucas (Melanie) White, and Lance White. 10 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Granddaughter; Special Nephew Kamoni Jenkins; Sisters Delores (Tony) Reynolds, Sheryl White, Cassandra Murphy (Christopher), Angela Brown (Walter), Tammy Minor, and Vicki Reynolds; Brothers, William (Loretta) McNary, William Tidwell, Jonathan (Asheraka) Kirkwood, Carlos White (Bridgette), Perry White, Johnny Minor (Erica); Uncles, William Tidwell and Albert (Mildred) Tidwell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and enormous number of friends.
