Janette Garrison, the daughter of John and Sallie Garrison, was born on April 20, 1921 in Shreveport Louisiana. Janette passed away on December 11, 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana. At an early age, Janette became a Christian and was a member of Southside Baptist Church for most of her life. Janette received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State Normal College in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and taught school for several years before her career with the Veteran's Administration Hospital system. She retired from the Veteran's Administration in 1981 after 34 years of service.
Janette is survived by her brother, Cecil Garrison and wife, Naoma, of Houston, Texas; nephew, Philip Garrison and wife, Pam; and grandniece, Alicia, of Houston, Texas; nephew, Paul Garrison, of Houston; and grandnephew, Alan, of Keller, Texas.
The family will receive their friends Sunday evening, December 16, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Osborn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Osborn Funeral Home with the Reverend Floyd Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, Louisiana.
