JORENE DRISKILL BOWERS, 79, of Duncan, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, in Lawton.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Little Cemetery in Seminole, with the Rev. Lonnie DaVoult officiating. Interment will be under direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Jorene was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Bristow, to Thompson A. and Rhoda Shirley Ingram. She married Eugene Dale Driskill Sr. on Aug. 8, 1947. They were happily married for 21 years and raised their three children in Shawnee. Eugene preceded her in death Nov. 11, 1968.
Jorene married Walter Lee Bowers on Nov. 5, 1987. They moved to Duncan in 1995. They enjoyed each other's comfort, love and company until Lee passed away March 27, 2004. Jorene was a homemaker and attended Ray of Hope Church.
Survivors include a son, Eugene Dale Driskill Jr. and daughter-in-law Betty of Duncan; two daughters, Cindy Davis of Ingleside, Texas, and Connie Miller and son-in-law Frank of Duncan; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Jorene will be greatly missed by her beloved dogs, Tilly and Little Bear.
