Marion Slauenwhite Howell, 95, of Anderson, SC passed away on December 5, 2021, at Carlyle Senior Care of Fountain Inn, SC. She was the daughter of the late Maurice and Helena Slauenwhite.
Marion worked as the buyer for the children's department at Gallant Belk for 20 devoted years. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Anderson, SC, where she served as secretary for the Never Too Late group for many years. She was enormously proud of her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Howell; daughter, Priscilla Sellars (W.C.); son-in-law, Ron Cox; great-granddaughter, Sara Hawley Dixon; sister, Kathleen Pickreign; brother, Bruce Slauenwhite; and her longtime friend, James Hall.
Left behind to cherish her memory are daughters, Susan Hawley (Matt) and Janis Cox of Greenville, SC; brother, Ronald Slauenwhite (Nancy) of Tyler, TX; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service for the family will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church followed by a private committal service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
