Paul E. Moffett, 88, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 in Memphis, Indiana. He was born on September 15, 1933 to the late Wallace and Wilma Moffett (Taylor) in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Moffett honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After the war Mr. Moffett furthered his education in the field of Engineering. He graduated from the Indiana Institute of Technology in 1959. During his long career in engineering, Mr. Moffett served as the County Engineer for Clark County, Indiana, worked in the Coal Mines of Hazard, Kentucky and served as Vice President of the Louisville Planning and Engineering Department. Mr. Moffett rounded his career out in private practice with his own firm, Moffett Engineering. Although he thoroughly enjoyed his many years in engineering, his passion was land surveying. He surveyed land up into his eighties. Mr. Moffett was preceded in death by his Wife, Suzanne Moffett, by his son, Paul Moffett, Jr., by his brothers, Wallace and Robert Moffett and by his sister, Ruth Carver.

Survivors include his daughters, Alison Brock of New Albany, Indiana, Amy Kastensmidt (Kevin) of Jeffersonville, Indiana, his sister, Sarah Miller (David) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, his grandchildren, Derek Emerson, Autumn Jones (Travis), Trenton Kastensmidt, Carson Kastensmidt and his great-grandson, Andrew Emerson. Mr. Moffett also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
