Ella L. Lucas, 94, of 1410 Dunkerton Road and formerly of 1041 Lincoln St, died Friday, Feb. 9, at Allen Memorial Hospital from complications of advanced age. She was born Aug. 1, 1895, in Valdosta, Ga., daughter of Henry J. and Julie Swilley Boyd. She married Frank E. Lucas on May 15, 1915, in Savannah, Ga. He died in 1969.
Survivors include a son, Henry J. of Cosa Mesa, Calif.; two daughters, Edna Jessen and Dorothy Mae Cunningham, both of Waterloo; six grand-children; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Lucas; two brothers, Jim and Anderson; and two sisters, Mamie Nicholson and Sadie Collins.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel with burial Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
