Thomas P. Ryan December 6, 2021 Thomas P. Ryan, 66, of Delphi Falls, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021. He was born March 25, 1955 in Malone, New York to Robert and Beverly Ryan.
Tom gave up the north country to migrate south where he married Martha Barber. As a young man Tom excelled in football and basketball at Franklin Academy and enjoyed hiking in the nearby High Peaks. He loved the outdoors where he found fascination in rocks and trees. In more recent years, he enjoyed lending a hand mowing and weeding for neighbors, tinkering in his barn and reading. Tom found joy in growing potatoes and the unnecessary "limbing" and pruning of unsuspecting trees and shrubs. Tom took pleasure in his job driving tractor for Critz Farms.
He dearly loved the family that he and Martha created, Jenny (Brian) McCann, Ben (Tricia) Ryan, Clair (Joshua) Bovee and Eva (Dylan) Heaney; his grandchildren, Erin, Logan, Grady, Lydia, Lincoln, Oliver and Marshall. Tom is also survived by eight of his 10 brothers and sisters, their spouses and a tribe of nieces and nephews. He took great pride in the fact that he spent the last 9 years of his life alcohol free.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, December 12, 2021, at the Delphi Falls United Church, 2190 Oran Delphi Rd., Manlius, NY 13104 followed by the sharing of two of Tom's favorite things…….coffee and cookies.
