A native of Patterson, New Jersey, son of the late Charles and Anna Vander Meulen Lau, he was a retired welder, member of Apalache Baptist Church, and a US Army veteran. Bob loved his family, long road and beach trips, as well as weightlifting. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Surviving are two daughters, Stacy Pittman of Greer and Dreama Lau of Greer; one brother, Lenny Lau of Palm Coast, Florida; and three grandchildren, Alayna Pittman, Chloe Pittman and Gabriel Pittman.
He was also predeceased by one brother, Charles "Charlie" Lau, Jr.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2021 at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly.
