Russell Dale Smith of Tahlequah, OK passed away on December 4, 2021, in Fayetteville, AR at the age of 58 years 3 months and 5 days. Russell was born the son of Bennie and Louella (Jones) Smith on August 30, 1963, in Long Beach, CA.

Russell was a good man and had a heart of gold. He would help anyone he could to make sure they were stable and taken care of, but most importantly he loved his family with all of his heart and was a proud uncle, son and brother. He was great provider, protector, and the glue to the family. Russell was very proud of his Native American heritage and honored it with great pride. He was a HUGE Dodgers Baseball fan and Lakers fan but he truly enjoyed most sports. He was currently employed through Cherokee Nation at the time of his passing. He was the jack of all trades and could do just about anything and worked very hard every day. Russell was truly one of a kind.

He married Tiffany (Bales) Smith on April 29, 2019, and together shared many wonderful memories. He felt as if he finally found his soulmate because they understood each other. As many would say, "he always had a way to make you feel understood and loved." He was always the one who would listen when it felt as nobody else was. He always knew the right words to say to comfort and be the shoulder you could lean on. Having a heart so large and always wanting to make others smile; he would always leave a sweet note, treat and a Dr. Pepper for Tiffany before he left just to let her know he loved her no matter what and that was just the type of gentleman he was. He always tried to show some type of act of love and kindness to all those he knew and cared about. Russell loved being around his whole family every chance he got when he wasn't working and always did his best. He will be missed by all he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his father; Bennie Smith and other relatives.
